THE NEON ELEMENT

If you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while, you might have came to the conclusion that I have a love (some might call, obsession) with anything neon. These florescent colors are bright and bold and could instantly make anyone feel happier.
My personal styling rule when it comes to neon, is to start with a color that best compliments your skin tone. Electric blue and green for instance, does nothing for my olive complexion. On the other hand, yellow and pink does wonders, which is why they’re the most repeated colors in my wardrobe.
If you’re afraid of how bold these colors are and you don’t want to commit to purchasing a garment, go for accessories first. You can buy a neon necklace and add it as a pop of color to a solid all black outfit. It will take any outfit from drab and boring to fun and trendy in seconds! The markets now offer plenty of costume jewelry so you can have the luxury to experiment with these hues and not make a dent in your pocket.
